Colin Farrell calls Batman Spinoff ‘delicious and unusual’

Warner Bros. has gone through a transformational period since its merger with Discovery was completed. Warner Bros. has The newly minted Discovery has a lot to prove, and recently appointed CEO David Zaslav isn’t playing. Zaslav has already canceled quite a few DC Comics movies like bat girl And the The Wonder Twins and is looking for a Kevin Feige-type CEO to lead DC Films. While a lot of DC movies have been in the chopping stage, one franchise seems to be safe and that’s Matt Reeves’ Batman. Reeves has signed a blanket deal with the studio and is working hard on several sub-shows such as Colin Farrell which he leads penguin HBO Max series. Farrell previously revealed that the series will take place a week after the events of BatmanNow, the actor is officially teasing the series. During a new interview with collider, the actor revealed that they are filming in . New York and even described a delicious scenario.

“Penguin? Shot here in New York,” Farrell told the site. “I think if it goes ahead, I read the first episode, which was very tasty and very unusual where the character was on the page and what Matt Reeves pictured when he was thinking about this iteration of Oz. So yeah, it’s going to take, I think six Or eight hours. I’m supposed to read episode two and three over the next week.”

Robert Pattinson was great in the robe and hoodie he wore in the movie, but it turns out that one trait of his character actually helped him in the role. The actor is known for his social awkwardness within the press and seems to have actually helped him during filming Batman. Director Matt Reeves previously appeared on KCRW where he revealed exactly how Pattinson’s physical awkwardness helped him film The Dark Knight.

“Not only is that a clear face of who he is, because he’s clearly a part of it, but it’s something he’s in control of as well,” Reeves said on the podcast. “One of the things I have found so wonderful working with him is that he works in a way that almost feels like a style actor. However, you can see that he has great access to his emotions, and he puts himself into a situation. But he is also incredibly in control of his instrument, the way That he’s moving in. It’s all very technical, and it’s very intentional. So I can tell him, I need this to be a little hotter, and he can get to that very easily. [And I could say] But I also, because of that cowl and the way the light hits your eye, I need you to lean a little more to your left, or else I won’t see your eye. He can do both of these things simultaneously.”

“He had a tremendous ability to access his emotions, but he also controls his movement, so all of these things come from a very internal place. But he has a tremendous ability with himself physically. He’s very capable of accessing every single one of those things, but also in a very specific way. Weird at the same time, while he can be out of control, he can also be incredibly controlling in terms of how he calibrates his voice, the way he leans, where he stands in. And so I think the choices he makes are on some level, very conscious too, Although I know some of it must be unconscious because it comes from a very instinctive place.” Batman director added.

Directed by Matt Reeves, Batman Stars Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne / Batman, Zoe Kravitz as Selina Kyle / Catwoman, Paul Dano as Edward Nashton / The Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as GCPD’s James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gotham Da Jill Coulson, Jimmy Lawson.
